Casa Colmena

For this project, the client wanted to transform their ageing gate into a meaningful work of art. The mural needed to reflect the identity of their guest house, Casa Colmena ("The Beehive House"), whilst also serving as a tribute to their beloved cat who went missing.
I centered the design around the cat, placing it as the focal point of the piece, and incorporated elements of beehives to characterise the house’s name. Drawing inspiration from the client's lush garden rich with cacti and desert plants, I illustrated the cat resting inside a blooming flower, surrounded by representations of the garden’s natural beauty. The final piece blends personal memory with botanical and symbolic imagery, creating a warm and welcoming introduction to the home. The colours where chosen due to their high opacity and contrast with the brown background, due to limitations on the materials budget. The background was repainted using gate paint and the design was created with spray paint.

Whilst travelling through Mexico City, I discovered a gallery dedicated exclusively to showcasing female artists. The gallery owner invited me to create a mural on the front doors, but with limited time and materials, I had to work quickly and intentionally.
I chose a minimalist design that would still carry strong meaning. Inspired by the gallery’s mission, I focused on the theme of feminine strength and resilience, symbolised through koi fish. In many cultures, koi represent courage, perseverance, and inner power, qualities I wanted to reflect in this piece. To ensure visual harmony, I matched the colour palette to the existing mural on the surrounding wall, creating a cohesive and unified aesthetic.

Open Source Arts is a dynamic organisation and event space that supports a wide range of creative practices. When they opened two new floors of artist studios, they wanted some murals to help personalise the shared spaces.
The client provided a meaningful quote to be featured in the mural: “The continuity of reciprocity is the soul of the community.” Working with a limited palette of existing paints as requested, I designed a piece that felt vibrant, cohesive, and reflective of the artistic spirit of the space.
I combined playful, abstract forms with natural shapes inspired by the plants around the studios. The result is a mural that celebrates creativity, connection, and community which are core values of both the space and the artists who inhabit it. This was created using only emulsion paint.

A client launching a Mexican food truck business approached me to help bring their vision to life. They were converting a horse box into a mobile kitchen to take to festivals and events, and needed their brand design painted onto the vehicle.
The client had a design ready, and my role was to translate it into a vibrant, eye-catching mural on the surface of the horse box. The background was spray painted for a smooth, bold finish, whilst the sign writing was hand-painted using emulsion for durability and clarity. The final result gave the food truck a lively, authentic look that stood out in busy festival settings.

This mural was created for Open Source Arts inside one of their newly opened artist studios. Unlike a previous commission in the same building, this project gave me full creative freedom to explore my own ideas.
I chose to experiment with bold, abstract shapes, using a playful composition that resonated with the energy of the space. The design was intentionally aligned with another existing mural in the studio, creating visual coherence across the environment. This piece adds vibrancy and inspiration to the shared workspace, reflecting the creativity and openness that defines the studio culture.
